Well the value at the bottom, i dont know that that has any bearing on how much the vehicle actually get sold for. As it says, Current bid- 0. Starting bid is 35 bucks.... I'm gonna keep lookin, but they got a bunch of body parts to HMMWV's

Folks,
The value at the bottom of the govt website is what the government paid back in 1971. The truck could sell for as little as $35. (that aint gonna happen!) I've registered and bought items, but it would not be financially practical to ship a surplus vehicle that's in California to Pennsylvania. Ray

Wait a tic, let me get this right. I could buy a 6X6 2 and 1/2 ton army cargo truck for $35??? Can I tag these b*tches and drive them on the street? I think a camo'd blazer would be pretty bad a$$! Especially for $35! Todd

Yes I have picked up a few vehicels in my time from military/governemtn auctions. Back in 1980 picked up 3 1ton chevy vans (1973 & 2 75s) for $300 all 6s but only around 20,000 miles on each. year before that I got a 69 Dodge A100 with 14,000 and I knew the complete maintenace history for 200. The two I missed was a big block (440V8) Volare Security Forces vehicle and a BB SWB 73 C10. In the mid/late 70's no telling what cool ones you could grab, especially from Chyrsler. They were trying to dump all the Big Blocks and they would shove them in anything military they could wether they came with it normally or not.
I wish that one was closer that would be a good deal.

Oh yeah, unless it has changed, this is not like Ebay where you keep bidding. Most of the time you put in one bid or proposal and who ever has the highest bid in the end gets it. I haven't done it in a few years, so it might now be like an ebay auction.
