The last time I pulled my boat out of the water I noticed some gas coming from the back of the truck. I had kind of a rough tug from the boat when I thought I had it in 4wd but it slipped in neutral and i had to slam the brakes to keep from submerging more of the truck. Ever since then it has ran horribly

. If anyone knows what went wrong and how to fix this problem I would greatly appreciate it.

oh yeah, it's an 88 K5

throttle body or carb?? sounds like if it is carbed then the rubber lines have dry rotted and is sucking air. if throttle body then same prob just fuel is dumping on the ground since the pump is in the tank and not getting enough fuel pressure

it's throttle body, and that sounds like it would be the root of the problem. guess i get to take it into the shop since i have no time to do it myself

gonna be expensive to drop the tank and all get you wallet ready and good luck

If you can see where the rubber lines have dry rotted, just buy new hoses and a couple of hose clamps... cut out the old and put in the new... easy, cheap fix IMO. I've done that on my 91 S10 Blazer because of a similar problem. The place where mine had rotted didn't require dropping the tank. They are more likely to rot along the frame then on top of the tank because they are somewhat protected from the elements on top of the tank.
