Laying down Carpet - tips from experience needed!

Looking to lay my new carpet in this weekend... and have read/heard a ton of different things... what's the best way to do it? i got it out of the box and there's wrinkles in it, etc... i've heard you should heat it? others say to lay down spray adhesive; and i've heard that you should lay down insulation before you lay down your carpet... etc. etc.

what's the best approach? how do you eliminate/minimize the wrinkles?

Chk. this thread out http://207.44.196.117/vboard/showthread.php3?t=154422

My carpet instructions said you can apply adhesive but i didn't as far as insulation gos id recommend it for keeping down sound and heat in the cabin. I even pulled the insulation off my old carpet and reused it and it made a big differance in the sound level in side.

Have fun.
