Help ID these mirrors???
Any idea what these are for? I thought they were sport mirros for our trucks, but the mounting pad is different.

Squid,
Not sure, but they look like good quality. What's a Squid doing in Kansas. Signed, Bubblehead in PA

Here's the interior, but somebody help Squid4life identify those mirrors! Speaking of such, anybody have "West Coast Mirrors" on their truck? The ones Squid has look good, but I'm throwing around the idea of West Coast mirrors.

GREAT LOOKING TRUCK!!! That thing is CLEAN!
I was told they were aftermarket "deluxe" mirrors for our trucks from back then. They are in good shape, one has a broken glass but that is simple to get replaced. Yep, Squid landlocked in KS! Not a fun thing! I need my salt water. I came back home for a few years to do the recruiting bit, now I am in charge of 9 stations in KS. I am ready to hoist the anchor and get out of here though! Boyertown, huh? I think I may have swung through there on a hunting trip when I was stationed in Maryland. Beautiful place! Do a search on Ebay for "west coast mirrors". About 20 auctions come up. Squid

Squid4life,
'Underway is the only way'. 'Only at sea is a man really free'. That's what our XO used to say when we were about to get under way. Sounds like you had your hands full out there recruiting in KS. I haven't made up my mind on the West Coast Mirrors yet, but I'll watch eBay to see how they look. I remember back in the early seventies they were very popular. Besides, you needed them to mount your twin CB antennas. Thanks for the comments on the truck. It's a 50 footer. I bought it for my Dad, who retired as a TMC. He spent a lot of time at sea. Hated shore duty. Best regards, Ray

The west coast mirrors are pretty big at 6X16". Most were used with big campers or trailers. I prefer the west coast jr, 5X10", but not as easy to find. Here's one place

Fred,
They look very good. And they are stainless steel. That would be a key requirement. Ray
