can i swap a 91 sub crossmember in my 65 c10?

I'm a newbie here but as far as I have learned so far, you can only go up to a '87. I could be wrong though

283, if by sub, you mean Suburban, then yes, I think it would swap. Suburbans, K5 Blazers, Crew Cabs and even some fleet trucks kept the 73-87 body style until 1992. It's not hard to tell, if the steering box is mounted outside the frame rail then it's the old style frame. Hope that helps.

I am guessing one would be using the suburban crossmember for a later model tranny swap like a 700r4 or something like that? yes/no ? elaborate?

if i get it i will swap the front crossmember and the th350 and maybe the tbi the gas tank and steering column maybe the rear axle and the cool wheels!! seat belts maybe and bucket seats and the power steering and brakes.
