'65 c10 - long wheel base - e- brakes - help!?
ok, I have a '65 long wheel base (127"). With trailing arms and rear coil springs.
I am trying to install the later '66 type e brake system cuz my auto tranny is in the way of the orginal one plus - I had no e-brake system when I bought it - Previous Owner stuff. I got the rear cables - on each rear wheel mounted - bracket on the trailing arm, clipped on good. The cable that runs from the handle, down the steering column, through the cab to a hole in the frame - mounted up. I have the bar that sits under the passenger side, the pig tale guides etc.. Plus connecter doodads... but my 'intermediate' cable is too short. It's right about 10 feet long. from my measurements it needs to be another 3 feet long give or take an inch or two. Does anyone know what this part number is? I'm gonan go try to hit some parts stores and see if maybe they have one... and a question, are there some rubber grommets or something that goes in the cross member towards the rear that protect the brake cable? Thanks all, -W |
