Any idea what a 72 long bed with a 330HP / 380TQ 350CID with a 2500 stall converter, turbo 350, 3.42 rear with 28" rear tires might run in the 1/4?

it would depend on the conditions. but just to let you know when i tried to run my truck at the local track they wouldnt let me cause of the gas tank in the cab

to many variables but I'll take a stab, mid to low 14's at 95mph.

sorry to hijack but has anyone else had this trouble with not being able to run with the tank in the cab? 68w/sbc406, was this an IHRA sanctioned track?

I ran 11.7 w/juice and 12.7 without, and my tank is still in the cab.

My guesse would be high 14's to low 15's @ 90mph.

thats why I'm doing my swap.. lots of friends at Woodburn Drags.. (IHRA) and they are very strict about that tank in the cab.. had a friend who kissed some butt and they let him run for the day.. as long as he didnt go under 14.00 in the 1/4. If they do let you run they will haggle you all day. I think the swap will help with traction too!

thats the stupid part. it wasnt an IHRA sanctioned track but they were using IHRA rules

(this was at PIR for the locals) its a road course that the CHAMP cars run at and then during the summer they have the friday night drags. its a ****hole of a strip anyway. people are always fighting to get traction.

I would guess in the high 14's or low 15's, if the horsepower numbers are Dyno'd and accurate. I have 350HP at the flywheel...maybe 300 at the wheels on a shortbed. Before posi, I couldn't run better than a 14.72 at about 92 mph. After posi, the best run was 14.14 at about 97 mph.

my 67 lwb, with battery and fuel in bed, powered by a 327cid/350hp to rear wheels, 373 posi, 400 torbo w/ 2500 stall runs 13:20's in 1/4 and 12:60's in 1000'.....it weights 3850 with me in it...............if that helps

these guesses seem optomistic to me.
on 28's i "guess" 15.3-15.7.
i never had a problem at ennis with the tank in the cab.they are nhra track.

that says if my truck weighs 4000 pounds and i make 375 horse i will run...Your ET / MPH computed from your vehicle weight of 4000 pounds and HP of 375 is 12.82 seconds and MPH of 104.49 MPH.

I think that calculator is a little off, it says I will run:

Your ET / MPH computed from your vehicle weight of 3600 pounds and HP of 600 is 10.58 seconds and MPH of 126.58 MPH.

You needd to input rear wheel HP...and yse it is accurate if you input correct HP and Weight.

its accurate. what that calculator doesnt say is that the numbers are with optimum gearing and a proper setup all the way around on the vehicle. so if you got something like a 3.07 gear and a huge cam its going to be way off.a properly matched setup is what that calulator is going by

I did input rwhp... I think it's a little off considering the brick aerodynamics of our trucks at 100+ MPH... jmho..

yeah my combo is very well matched but I don't see 10:50's with this setup.
I have 458 rwhp on motor, 100 shot (1st stage), 75 shot (2nd stage) with 6 speed standard trans, 4.10 gears, 29" tall tire. Have been 7.0X @ 101 in the 1/8 on first stage...

I think it is probably a close estimate but I think it's a little off...
