Under Hood Alt. assemble pic ?
Does anyone have an under the hood picture of the original alternator assembly with mounting brackets for our trucks. I think the person before me installed a differant mounting bracket. It's mounted on the right side, but the there are a couple of bracket holes not used.

Does your truck have the long or short water pump? The alt is on the pass side with long pump and drivers side with short pump. The long pump is for 73 up engines, to change to short pump and driver side alt you will have to change pulleys and brackets. Alot of trucks have been changed over with engine swaps. If you have a short pump you probably have a after market alt bracket. John
