Both guys made it look easy. When I have some free time I'll see about building one, the cheesy little kitchen oven I've got barely held an oil pan and definately is too small for a rim.

I see restraunts that go out of buissness a lot and they hold auctions to sell their stuff, maybe a industrial oven would be a good score since it would be alot bigger. Just a thought look through your local classifides...

I thought about looking for an old style pizza oven, but I think I'd rather use it for pizza.

The only reason I'd build one is that I can make it exactly to the size I want and maybe even make it expandable.

BTW, the one thing that will be a little difficult to get is the insulation, thought that on the off chance Homely Depot might have some high temp insulation, but no luck there. It looks like the guy who made the oven with soft insulation used stuff that was good to 1000F, you definately don't want to try this with standard houshold insulation.

I work on these ovens (powder coating) in my area and they generallly run them at 480 F. These are gas fired,one plant does grain bins the other does electrical boxes, it would be cheper to have the do it than to invest into something large enough to do a frame. Just my thoughts

True enough, I'm looking for something big enough to do an inner fender or a couple of rims at a time. You're 100% right, if I need to coat a frame I'll pay somebody.
