You could purchase block foam from an upholstery supplier and cut it to shape. I don't know how difficult it would be to do this but I have seen some guys on the hotrod shows doing it with a special electric carving knife.

Used is probably the cheapest. If you decide to carve block foam, wait til the wife goes shopping and sneak in the kitchen and grab that electric carving knife. Works pretty darn good.

New foam

Man I have to tell you there is nothing like the addition of a new foam cusion in our trucks. I never could get the shape right tring to carve one.
I am a distributor for a company that sells them if you are interested.
Thats correct about the price of the new stuff. The Chinese are sucking up every bit of additional rescources that they can get there hands on leaving us in the USA without the buying power as in the past.
The replacement foam for the FULL FOAM SEAT MODELS ONLY 71 & 72 GM trucks is $212.80 ( Includes both seat & back cusions required ) currently and the raw material prices are volatile and subject to increase at any time. I am reading this info off of the manufacturers recent notice to me. The frieght could be upwards of $40.00 if you are as far as the East coast.
Not cheap, but if it is a slick truck you cant beat the comfort of the new cusion. They are a bit firmer and help support you better. It completely changes how you sit in your truck.
Thanks, OT

longnlow72; feel the seat is well worth $75.00 I am asking.... I paid over $100.00 for the seat cover if you can use it... is a pale torquoise; vinyl and an imitation velvet....The seat does not flip forward but I understand it can be modified to do so iif you wish............Jim
