highlander trim?

I remember seeing on here before that there was a source for the highlander plaid cloth. Does anyone know who carries the material?

I'll bet that SMS has it as I just got a sample for the 72 Custom Deluxe nylon cloth inserts from them too. It will take more than 1 yard so I have to call them back about 1/4 yards or by the inch after the first yard.

SMS does have the correct plaid fabric for the highlander seats if anyone else is interested. So now I'm thinking I have to buy Cheyenne seatcovers with the scroll or would it be houndstooth seatcover and remove the scroll section and have the plaid sewn in. Anyone else ever done this? I know its going to be expensive but I really want the seats put back original? Any thoughts?

LUV2XCLR8, SMS has the exact cloth for my 50th. They sent me a sample and I am going to order it this week. My son does custom upholstery and he is going to make an exact replica of the cover. SMS also carries the exact "Parchment" vinyl for the seat as well. I will purchase that from them too. I will post some pics when the seat is finished. I am going to find some new foam for the seat too. I found out at the Monroe swap meet yesterday that there is a local manufacturer of the molded foam for these seats. I need to hunt them down.

SMS makes the cloth using the same yarn and colors as the original. They have their own "short-run" looms. That is why the material is a little more than your average interior cloth made overseas. They can and do press scroll patterns into vinyl to match anything you have that is not one of the commonly mass produced reproductions.
