Need Help!
Call me stupid, but something aint right. I swapped a '72 rear into my '68, no problem. I go to reattach the brake lines and something aint right. Can someone point me the right direction? Here are the pics. One of the hose coming off my '68 frame. The next one is the hose coming out of the 12 bolt. Is there an adapter to attach the two?

I believe there are different hoses for some year trucks. Maybe steel lines too. Use everything from one truck. John

there should only be one rubber hose. the hose mounts to the crossmember and has a steel line that screw into it and on the other end its a tee for the steel line for each wheel cylinder

As cable guy said you only need one rubber hose. They changed the way the hoses route for different years and the frame brackets that secured the hose. I believe th easiest fix would be to get the frame bracket for a 72 and attach the hose to it. Then route the steel 1/4" line to the female end of the hose.
Do you have a (4) wheel drive or (2) wheel drive 72 axle? I can get a pic of the brackets if you like. Jim |
