Question Old/new distributor mix?

Is there a distributor cap for stock distributors that will accept 8mm plug wires? I know there are several ignition manufacturers out there, but this may be an odd combination.

Are you talking about wires with HEI style cap ends on them? If so, then yes there are caps made to use these wires with points style distributors. Check Summit or Jegs.

MSD makes the cap for HEI terminals to stock distibutor. Here's a tip. Get a spare, mine lasted about 3 yrs and then one day at the car wash, no ignition. I had to buy a complete wire and cap set up from Pep Boys until I got another MSD cap. Oh, the center botton had worn down to nothing.
