I want to replace the steeting box on my truck with something off of like a 88 camaro or like a Monte carlo or something, so if anyone has some comments saying it wont work or what will make it work better, please let me know, thanks a bunch

Faster ratio, better feel (firmer feedback). I remember reading that the box from the cars you mentioned will bolt up though one has an extra bolt hole (either the older truck box or the newer, I forget). Also you will need metric adapter fitings for the PS lines. Im sure there are articles out there on the internet. Even if the box is going in an old camaro or chevelle I believe the same stuff still applies.

There is alot of slop in the steering, you can turn the wheel quite a bit before the tires move, and just for all over drivebility, i think it would make a big difference. Would it not?

73-87 truck boxes will work, most are 1 turn less lock to lock (3 1/2 vs 4 1/2). Just swap the fitting on the back of the box, if it uses metric style, and you can use your same hoses.
