8-lug wheels interchange?
First post here, as I'm about to buy a '77 C20 454/T400 w/ 3.73s. It's in fairly rough shape, with typical body rust and minor dents. It's a Silverado with A/C (a necessity in my area - Houston, Tx) and cruise control, factory Frost white with the dark red (carmine?) interior. Anyway, I want to know if late model 2500 8-lug wheels bolt right up. I see them on ebay all the time for cheap, and I think a set would look good, once I get the body of the truck up to speed. I'm picking the truck up this week, and hopefully I'll get some pics up. Basically, it wouldn't start one day, and the guy parked it in the driveway. That was 2001. At that time, it ran fine and the A/C worked. It comes with a pipe rack and bed-mounted gas-powered compressor of unknown make, an extra set of 454 heads, an extra Q-Jet and some sort of Holley 4bbl. The old dude just wants it all out of his way. He bought the truck when it was 2 years old, and it has all the papers, along with owner's manual, warranty papers, etc. The total price is $300. I betcha I'll have it running by this weekend.

You will have to buy some conversion lug nuts to use the center caps, I got a set on ebay for about $40. Oh and since I am a pic whore here is a pic of them on my '73

Well, here she is in all of her $300 glory. '77 C20 454/TH400 Silverado. She ran for a little while today, and has great oil pressure. The carb needs some work/cleaning from sitting up. It does have brakes, and will go into gear. More to follow!
And here's her birth certificate:

$300 is a sweet deal just for the drive train! Once you get the body cleaned up you will have a real nice truck. Welcome to the board.
