Best steering column for a 62
I don't think the search thing likes me, I tried to search and kept coming up with nothing. I read in here somewhere about what steering colunm to use in 60-66 trucks, be darned if I can find it. I'm looking for the least amount of fab work to put a column in my 62. I have access to just about any type make and model of car and truck and van. I have the kit for the power steering box already, so I think I just havta shorten the shaft. Anybody?

steering
You are correct. If you have access to anything you want then all you have to do is shorten the shaft. Or you can take the entire shaft out of something newer and put it inside your column. It sounds like you will be converting to later model PS, so you might not have to cut anything. Try a column from a 67-72 truck, that should be very close. If you're lucky you will find a tilt column to boot.
