Extension Cord.
Looks like somebody did a little extension cord modification to accomodate a block heater. Not a bad idea for a trouble light or soldering iron either. TJ

All it is,is a dual receptacle box that has a cord running through the grill. Then the block heater is plugged in the box. It does come in handy for using a couple other tools under the hood, you just gotta remember to plug your truck in first

I have one of those, too. Its on the other side and has a toggle switch on it. The instructions were in the glovebox. Have never tried it. Always thought that would be cool for tailgating. "Would anyone like a margarita, let me fire the blender up!"

I meant to mention, too, mine runs off the alternator of the truck. No plugging in required.

This one was installed by the previous owner. I figured i would just leave it in there. Seems like everytime someone looks at the motor, that's the first thing they ask about.

cabin94, is it listed on the glovebox as:
U98 - Power outlet box? If so, I want to see tons of pics of it! I haven't ever seen one.

Electric Truck?
I have a similar set up. I ilso have a short cord running throught the firewall to what used to be a "IN CAR HEATER ". there is an extension cord that runs throught the grill to a BLOCK HEATER and a BATTERY WARMER then through the firewall. I dont use the heater, but the cord still runs through to the cab, it is hidden well and comes in handy for soldering or trouble lights.
The old guys were quite smart, hehehe. You guys in the south probably won't have the CANADIAN option that dubie and I have.

Well I wish my Canadian truck had that option, but I did find something you wish your truck had in it dubie. A whole bunch of canibus leaves dried out ready to be chopped and rolled. Go figure the truck was owned by a biker, no I am not classifying all bikers a drug users.
