Try this.

I am thinking about doing a reverse open hood, but considering building my own bracket set-up (put my engineering degree to some good use. LOL)

It's a sweet mod. BMW e30's open like that. The hidge would be to small but the
rollers would work and looks cool. I placed one up on the hood. Roller and Plate
come off with 10mm wrench if your running to the wreckers.LOL

Your gonna need to reuse your stock hood springs to make the hood open the stock buick hinges are not strong enough...

Or a pair of struts. Mine uses a pair off a mid '90's Plymouth Laser rear hatch and it's the right pressure to gently lift the hood and hold it in place.

XXL-

Do you have some pix of your set-up? Did you use the buick hinges?

No... after posting above, I realized it probably wasn't very clear. My hood still flips like stock. I was just adding that the reverse tilt could use gas struts. I too have the "hood hinge problem" due to my truck's drop... so I'm trying to decide how to address that too. The "quick" fix is definitely the Buick hinge setup like Lotik did.
