Question Steering column adaptor

OK, I bought what I was told was a 72 truck steering column. I need to see if I can buy an adaptor to hook it up to my old wire plug, or do I need to rewire the thing. This new column has 1 long horizontal plug with 8 wires, my old column had 2 plugs with 4 wires each.

any help is great.....

If you need pics, I will post

I tried looking thru the faqs, but didn't see anything about the plugs......

thanks
Chad
