On the road again..........(my truck)
Some of y'all might have read that I was going to do a rebuild on the 350 in my truck and swap out a 307 in it's place while rebuilding the 350. Well, I'm done now! I never even got the chance to put the 307 in, I got the 350 rebuilt faster than I figured. I started to pull the engine on Monday, but I had a lot of stuff to deal with this week, so it took me and my Dad awhile to finish. I just got the engine running around 6:30 today. I got the engine rebuilt, cleaned, and finally painted it. The engine looks sweet! Every part of it is Chevy orange, and the valve covers and air breather are black. It sounded awesome, but I needed to quick f4king around and get the tranny in. We put the TH400 back in after replacing the front pump seal, got it in about 10:00 and filled it up with fluid, bolted the Y pipe up(with no muffler), and put two new(to me) 33/12.5/16.5 MudKing tires and the hard-to-find 12" wide stock 8 lug rims out back, and took it for a cruise. We scared some people in town with the straight pipe, and punked a LOT of ricers that were trying to blast their fart cans. I couldn't even hear those POS 4 bangers on steroids over the roar of my truck!!!! And just for the record, I hadn't drove the truck in almost a week so I was basically about to go crazy. I didnt' get caught by the cops either if anybody's wondering.
