Q?:Upholstery For Non-CST Blazer Buckets

Do the CST covers fit on the base-model seats? Not the square Utility Bucket type. The tapered non-scroll type found in the "rubber mat" Blazers.

To my knowledge, the blazer came with either the base--utility bucket seat or the sport bucket seat---both of which had several different covers available depending on the years. The "CST" covers as found in the sport buckets on the trucks and top end blazers/jimmy---will fit any sport bucket seat--truck or blazer. I have seen them in both the 69-70 pattern as well as the 71-72. check LMC, truck shop, Mothertruckers, Christian's, GMC Paul, etc.

Most are utility or cst however a family friend was the orginal owner of a 72 non cst with buckets that were a black made of the same material. They did not have the scrolls and pleats like cst it was more like a houndtooth seat the inset was horizonal and all black. I own a 72 base model those same seats the same seats. Those are the only two I have seen like that

Looks like this? The 71-72 repro covers will fit, however if you do want to keep the original style there is a place that sells this fabric for the inserts. I was planning on ordering the fabric and a set of repro seat cover, ripping the middles out of the cst style seat covers and getting the plain jane inserts stitched in.

The back seat has the same sort of material but it does have designs in it so it would be impossible to find or alter a reproduction, your only choice is used or NOS. I had someone measure the inserts of repro front covers and they are the same size as the plain jane so it would cost you 2 new seat covers and about 2 yards of the insert fabric at $55 a yard plus whatever it would be to get them sewn in.

So,I guess, the seats are the same with different material/print.These are probably the most common.

$450 sounds very reasonable.
