Would anyone know the part number for the kilometre per hour speedo? I'm sure there has to be some of those laying around somewhere...

Never heard of that before. The best I have found is a dealer sticker that goes on the plastic lense.

I am omost positive they do not exist.

Speedo

Only shows one speedo in 72 parts book. GM must of had some kind of export parts book separate from the regular parts book.

Don't bother I tried a few months back, and the dealer got back to me after a week of waiting for word from GM in the states and there are none available. I tried for both the speedo and the lense.

Why would the speedo head be different? wouldn't the lense numbering just be changed?

Not trying to be an ass, I just am reallly curious about this. The next one I build I want to go with the KM speedo.

P.S. I borrowed the pic...

Check out the increment lines on the KPH and compare to the MPH speedo

Screamin, go look at your MPH speedo, its not the same as the KPH in your picture. The MPH speedo has 10 large marks as opposed to the KPH which has 8 marks.
If IIRC 100mph should be close to 160kph so you should be able to repaint a MPH speedo to mimic the KPH speedo and switch out the MPH lense for the KPH lense.

I am too slow
I guess the odometer would still be messed up though, so it's not as simple as repainting

You could get away with a MPH head but the lines won't match the numbers, not sure how notciable that would be. In theory you could mess with the tranny speedo gears to get it to read correctly. If anyone would like a KPH lense contact 68 50th, he was looking to get some decals made up to mimic the look.

I think the speedo itself would read correctly with the correct lense and new painted marks on the face (100mph is 160kph), but the odometer would not. If you messed with the tranny gears you could get the odometer to read in kilometers but then the speedo would be off.

Yah I guess the speedo would be already correct as it is for speed if you were to just change the lense.
