^ That's why almost all the aftermarket vacuum cans are adjustable.

^ what they said! My 383 runs an old points dist , with a pertronix conversion.....10 initial, 36 total @ 2800 + 16 on the can. the old booger is on manifold vac, & runs 26degrees @ idle/ 52 degrees part throttle @ 2800-3000, with a light load. That 10 to1 aluminum headed sb is diggin the toad snot out of all that ign lead
