buying a 54 gmc
hey, my dad has found a 54 gmc pickup that he wants to buy. It's not running and has almost no interrior. We want to fix it up but neither of us know a lot about cars. Is this project too difficult to start out with? Or any tips on how to get started? Thanks!

thats a great truck to start with. tons of aftermarket parts to do just about anything to them, motor & tranny mount kits, power steering kits, disc brake kits, front & rear suspension kits, ac/heat units, interior kits. you name it most likely someone makes it or a kit to do it.
there are a few folks here that can & will help you, but here are a few other sites to look at to get info & knowledge from....joe The Stovebolt Forum sharing knowledge of pre-1973 Chevrolet and GMC trucks ChevyTalk Woogeroo's Truck Info site Chevy/GMC Truck Forum

Go for it! It might take a while to get it where you want it but, there's a certain pride of accomplishing it and you've put another treasure back on the road!
Welcome to the board!
