Probably been beat to death but faq is down. Anyone have pics and info. I have all perches,mounts.shackles and crossmembers. Are frames the same besides drilling for perches etc. Have 69 swb frame. Want to convert coil 2wd spring frame to 4wd.

I believe the frames are the same. There has been some dicussion on the forum abou this. You will also need a high hump. I don't know much about this mod. I do know you have to be very careful measuring. It's gotta be right. Maybe we can get some responses from someone thats done this if its back at the top.

I'm not sure on short frame but the 2wd long frame is different than the 4wd long frame. On a 4x4 the frame rails are parallel from the cab back. On a 2wd the frame rails get wider over the rear axle and then narrow back up behind the axle. The spring hagers are different and the spring perch width is different.

If you get spring hangers, springs and axle from a 2wd leaf spring truck I think it will work.

Just leave the rear end alone, it'll be fine! If you wanna lift it, you can easily get bigger coils and longer trailing arms aftermarket.

For the front, just do a lot of measuring and bolt the springs in up front. Measure 8 times, drill once!
