As long as the engines are the same (for mounting the compressor), I don't think you'll have too many compatibility issues....just take your time removing the components so they don't get damaged, take notes on wiring, routing, etc. and you should be fine.

When you remove all components, cover all open freon lines and ports as soon as you can. This will help keep moisture out as well as dirt and trash. Good luck.

Aftermarket systems were designed to be used in many vehicles. My memories of their installations says no problem. You may have to fabricate some new hoses, which may not be a bad idea. The compressor should mount up with no hitches, as long as you have the same engine type, i.e., holes or no holes in the head; brackets are compatible, etc. Your condensor may need to be replaced to be compatible with R-134A. The evaporator and expansion chamber should also be examined for compatibility.
But, to answer your question, you're removing it from a Chevy and putting in in a Chevy, so should be no biggee.

just found out that the heads are different. the 69 belair has 327 and truck has 307. where the compresser is bolted onto is where my alt. is on the truck, and there is only 1 bolt hole on the other head. so much for that I-dear!!!
