402bb/th400 fitment

I curently have a 350 with a manual 3 speed. I was planing on rebuilding a th350 to replace the 3 speed, this will fit without any driveshaft mods.

I just came across a 402bb and a th400 tranny and I have a few questions.

1) Will this combination fit without altering the driveshaft?

2) If I pass on the th400 and just swap the 402 and use the th350, this should work with just some firewall mods, right?

3) I have a LWB stepside with a 2 pc. driveshaft, should I go with the best (cheapest) combo and get a 1 pc. driveshaft?

Thanks,

1-no
2-no firewall mods needed-everything else works except motor mounts-you need BB mounts and towers.
3-no -keep your two piece.
