Drove to the exhaust shop today
Drove the K20 to American Muffler and they are doing their magic as we speak. Truck is running pretty rough, back firing or missing so I've got a problem to figure out. Not good as I know nothing about motors. I was sweating driving it as I could just see getting stranded. My wife would have at me if I had to call stranded on the side of the road.
Stayed up last night til 1 am getting the passenger door guts installed and getting both doors to latch shut. Figured that would be handy not having the doors fly open driving down the road. Can't wait to hear how the exhaust sounds. The system is planned to be 3" from the headers to the x-pipe, then 2 1/2" to Dynomax UltraFlo's and continues as 2 1/2" pipe dumping at the rear of the flatbed angled down slightly.

From what I read 2 1/2" duals is plenty for my mild 454. I will have a pretty substantial bend immediately after the collector on the passenger side so I figured going with 3" in this area would be less restrictive and keeping the X-pipe 3" would make a larger area (less restrictive) at the X than if I had the X-pipe made out of 2 1/2" pipe. I hope that is good in theory.

How many thousands of people did you wake up this morning? LOL! I know mine was a loud sucker with open headers, and I only had to drive it about a mile to the muffler shop. How far did you have to go Mark? Did you have to go clear downtown?

I had to drive to Mt. Vernon and Oliver so about 12 miles or so I would guess. Really, nobody seemed to pay it too much attention until I drove by Boeing and 5 people watched me drive by with there jaws dropped.
