Pwr Steering Gearbox

Has anyone here ever rebuilt a pwr gearbox??? If so...what kind of adventure was it???
I have one on my 77 parts truck....but it's been open to the elements. Covered with a rag @ the hose connects. I can hear it 'gurglin' when I turn the rag joint....but whether it's ps fluid or water.....dunno yet.

I replaced the seals in mine and cleaned it inside and out. That was about it and it was not that hard to do. Seals are available at Napa. The hardest part was getting the old seals out, but there are a couple tricks that work for that.

Go for it!
