I got a fever......and the only prescription is......DROPPING IN MY 307!!!!!!!
I'm so hyped guys and gals.....none of my freinds can come in to town to help me, so my dad is gonna be my wing man...hes old...and not as much experienced in auto stuff as me, but hes gonna be my #3 and #4 arms.

It looks so nice...and clean....I cant wait to hear it breath.

It isn't nearly as bad as it sounds! Once you've got her bolted into there, it goes pretty quick, esspecially with a brand new and clean engine!

Hey guys....the 307 is in.....after having a little accident, my hand slipped the release open while I was trying to lower and align the motor at the same time (stupid!!)

......I bent the front pulley.....and ha ha....knock the tranny back...that sucked...oh well.

BUt everything was sound and seemed ok....haven't cranked it up yet, got too worn out trying to get the damn mounts on.....that was a pain....I was so angry throwing tools and sockets.....frustration. At the end of the day the motor was in with a bent pulley...but I will fix that tommorow. I movedit up to the V8 position and man its got a lot of room in the back now!!!! I still need to bolt down the tranny, hook up the drive shaft, reinstall the cleaned radiator and other stuff, and then fire it up. then off to the muffler shop to reattach the pipes..

Good to hear you got her in. Now go and thank you dad for helping. It must of been nice to have your dad around to help. I remember when my dad would " TRY " and help. Some times he got in the way or said i should do something this or that way. Man i miss him now. Involve him more and cherrish it if you can.

hey big blue,
I know...I love my dad....he laughed at me when I tried to hop out of the engine bay and my foot slipped so I didn't get enough push to clear the driver fender.....I went for a ride, swatting things away as I fell....including but not limited to an engine stand and a stack of junk...I rolled got up and he laughed....then he made sure I was okay and asked me if i got scared...HAH...
I love my dad....and I miss my mom....shes up there watching me. I hope shes happy for me, cause everything is going good in life. But I really miss her.

When I read your post i thought of my Dad and Mom. My Dad was good at trying to help. He had his Ideas and we had ours. Of course he was always RIGHT. My Mom would always said..Ronald leave them alone, things have change since you were their age. Out of all the posts i've read here, yours stuck with me...Thanks I needed this also.

Glad to hear you got it in there. On the topic of Dad's, mine made me and my brothers help him wrench on everything until we could do it for ourselves. He gave me my first truck (69 swb stepside chevy) and told me if I could get it running I could have it. I've been wrenching ever since. I thank God he and Momma are still around and healthy.

Need cab blasted to start project. Got the cab BLASTED, Now Prep and Paint. Started to lay SOME BONDO and primer. Done, Ordering paint. Got paint, Stuff painted,Cab,Fenders, Hood more later. 9/7/2015 Got the clear coat on,now time to take one off. Started to put things back (What a nightmare) like the heating and AC stuff,inside wire harness, outside AC unit and booster, still more. May 2016, still working on the inside. Got duck work in,heating and AC. Radio (stock) in dash with after market in console later, Speaker are hooked up, Steering column is in. Getting ready to drop the cab onto the frame, Working on engine now since I have the room. Well here it is 2018, got the engine in and it runs, now I need to get the exhaust system in so I can adjust the lifters, to loud right now. Got the exhaust on now I am waiting for the break parts to come in.
