FS: 1972 SWB C10 frame and cab, NO bed or front clip
Just scored a 72 C10 SWB frame and cab for $25! I don't need it, but I figured somebody in Texas might want it. First off, I don't have a title, but the frame numbers and door VIN tag match. It's an A/C truck, has the controls, cables, but it's not complete. It has no motor, tranny, or driveshaft. The rear end is there, not sure of the ratio and it's a coil spring rear, but for some reason the coils are gone? The front running gear is complete, has power steering, and I think it has manual brakes. I'll have to check. It had a headliner, but it's gone. The steering column is gone too. There is NO bed, fenders, front or rear bumper, or grille. If anybody's interested in it let me know ASAP. If there aren't any bites by Friday, I'm gonna have to torch the frame and cab and scrap it. I'll take $25 for all of it!
EDIT: The rear end doesn't come with the truck, but I'll sell it for $50. I can check the gear ratio if there is any interest.

Let me know if matt67350 decides not to take it. My folks live in Beeville, so coming down to get it would be no problem. What does the cab look like in the door sill area and the kick panel/floor area?
matt67350, Beeville is about 330 miles south of Ft. Worth, between San Antonio and Corpus Christi. |

OK, as far as rust, this cab is fixable. Both rockers and cab corners are going to need to be replaced. The roof looks good, but it has some rust coming through on the passenger side driprail going down the side of the cab. There is some rot on the passenger side of the dash around the glovebox too. I have no idea if the frame is straight, the only thing I can do is eyeball it. I forgot to add that the rear end doesn't come with the truck, but can be bought for $50.

Robert, I will pass on the cab. I was hoping that a South Texas cab would be in better shape than the one I have.
Thanks. |
