side glass replacement

How do you get the old glass out of the metal channel at the bottom?

How do you secure the new glass back into the channel?

I clamped the metal channel in a vise and slowly worked the glass back and forth.
The only thing holding it in is a rubber gasket(press fit type of deal)
Work slow and it will come out.

I'm thinking maybe laquer thinner or something would soften the old rubber, hopefully.

I turned the glass upside down and useing a deadblow hammer tapped the channel back onto the glass.
