Found a possible free parts truck. 69/70 C20 w/ dual wheels.

Like it says, I found a 69 or 70 C20 Deluxe today. It has a flatbed/stakebody on it. It is a coil spring rear with the helper leafs with dual rear wheels and I am guessing with that conversion(listed as a conversion on glove box) it also got the C30 front suspension? Anyway, the owner's wife said she thinks her husband is scrapping the truck and would probably let me take whatever I want off of it for free or next to nothing(he needed the motor). I was going to go after the helper leafs and the trans hump, motor mount towers, guage cluster(no tach), heater controls and some other stupid crap. Anything else I should look for that is of value? The sheetmetal is trash. Rotted and not one panel is straight.

Won't be C/30 stuff....coils. No one tons were made with coils. It puts too much pressure in too small a location on the frame. The leafs distribute the weight over a larger area.
If the trailing arms are good, they are a good upgrade to a 1/2 ton.
The helper springs are probably worth something.
Depending on gears, the rear may be worth pulling. (4:10 or better)

68OrangeSunshine : I put one of my radio deletes up on the parts board. Here's a link to it. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php3?t=157262

Turns out a bodyshop bought the truck. I know the owner of the bodyshop so I still may have a chance at some of the stuff....

Thanks Anyway

I thank you for the courtesy of a swift reply, however I really don't need one that bad. I would hate to cut a perfect mint condition Dana PTO warning specimen just to make a face plate for a cassette deck. That one's a piece of history.
