interior dome lights and cargo light - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Should the dome light come on when the doors open?
and is there suppossed to be interior lights other than the dome light?
Previous owner hacked in an alarm and the wiring for the dome light is all goofy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Dome light was optional on operation when door opened or not, if it was operated by opening door you would have door jamb switches. The dome light was standard to turn on only by headlight switch. They did offer optional underdash courtesy lights also besides the dome light though these aren't seen often in these trucks.
