6-lug to 5-lug axle swap
I bought a pair of 5-lug axles from a board member that was supposed to be a direct swap with the 6-lug axles. They didn't work. The splines on the 5-lug were smaller than the 6-lug splines. Could the 5-lug be 73-up axles?? Later, FCG

That's odd. The only differance I was aware of was the length. The 73 & up ones (so I've been told) are the same as the 71/72.
I wonder if they were out of something other than a 12 bolt? |

Should be 30 spline by 31 15/32 length...same axle 1971-1980 from a 12 bolt truck or 2wd blazer/ Jimmy.

Axles
Some early (63-64)? trucks came with coarse spline axles.
