Propane or Gas
I am thinking of the idea of making my truck to run on propane. Where I live propane is thirty cents cheaper then gas and propane has around 110 octane rating. Propane also has less hydrocarbons and burns cleaner. There is less polution with propane because it burns so clean. If I do go with propane I will have a compresson ratio of around 12:1 because the high octane rating. I would also put a big tank on the underside of each side of the box to look clean and have a big fuel capacity. But I still dont know if I should go with propane. What do you guys think if I should stay with gas or go propane.
P.S. - Does anyone know of good propane systems too. |

Nothing wrong with a good propane system! Lots of people run them. Esspecially right now propane is somewhat worth it. However, you will lose a marginal amount of power and milage. When you work all the numbers out, I do belive it is only something like 10 cents cheaper a litre.
