315's on my '85K20

I posted on the 4x4 board, but got no replies. I'm considering putting 315/75R16 terra grabbers on my '85, but they but they hit the rear of the well when I turn the steering. How much lift do I need to fit them? Since the truck has hd suspension already, I would rather not go more than 2 1/2" for ease of daily entry. Or should I just get smaller tires, like 285's?

I fit 34x10.50x16 on my '86 k20 & they just fit. I'm not positive it's stock height, (I think it is, just HD suspension?) 6 leaves in front & 8 in the back.
I went to DML tire & wheel calculator & my tires = 267/86/16....
A 315/75/16 calc's. to be a 35x12.50x16. Mine are so close, I don't think you'll fit 'em stock......but I've been wrong before........once, hahaha
