Worth it?
1982 Chevrolet 1/2 ton short bed, fleetside. Has a sub front clip on it with the horizontal head lights, like I really like and want, paint looks good from about 5 feet away but has some spots were it runs, and others were it orange peeled. Has a stock 454/400/4.11 posi. Truck has been lowered a little bit, and the interior looks to be in great condition except for a cracked dash pad. $2800. Worth it or no?

Sounds reasonable if the lowering isn't a hack job and the bodywork under the paint was good. Life doesn't get better than a lowered shortbed.

Sounds great, I wish it was closer to me, I would line up behind you. You can probably polish out the runs and orangepeel. BB ya!

What kind of shape is the motor in? Have you driven it? If nothing is wrong with, damn good price. Jump on it!

That thing was the biggest pos on earth. The 454 had carb troubles and would fall on its face, the batery was toast, the engine was gumed up really bad, he didn't have an eletric kick down for the turbo 400. THe drive shaft was some screw ball design, it was a slip shaft design instead of the joke slipping. The rear end has a 4.11 with a spool, and is not set up right at all, the steering column is out of something else and doesn't fit worth a flip, none of the gauges work, the seat was out of a 88+ and was just laying in place and floped around everywere, the dash bezel was busted in several places, and hood didn't fit right, or the front and rear bumpers, and the back was lowered by heating the coil springs, and something was rubbing big time on the front driver side rotor. Not worth 2800 at all IMO, oh and it also didn't have the right power steering brackets and they weren't aligned at all. Thats all of the problems I could think off of hand.
