Wanted: 71-72 C-30 Dually rear hub/drum

Well we made it back without any further excitement. PREVIOUS INQUIRY Now I am left with the task of finding a replacement hub and drum for my motorhome or putting it up on blocks until I change everything out to a 14 bolt dually rear. Thanks to ChrisH for the loan of his precious hub and drum assembly. Without it the motorhome would not have made it home.

This was a mint condition 50,000 mile drum until it skidded (sans wheels) for a tenth of a mile on the side of US Highway 65 in Indiana. Please let me know if you see a 71-72 only C-30 sitting in a yard someplace.

I'd say that old motor home saved your bacon. Could have been alot worse. I am about to get a 68 dually, but I think the drums are different.

I drove by that one Tim. He had it holding up the patio(4 pallets nailed and duct taped together) on the trailer house and he wasn't want'n to part it out. Besides the warshin machine done don't work right when it aint sitt'n right.

RicksTrucks, the actual measurment is 3-1/2" on the first step of the drum. The shoes are 2-1/2 x 13" and the meat of the drum looks like it was 5/16" to 3/8" thick when new. If it is a 71-72 and a dually it would be correct.

Kevin, I asked the guy I bought all these other trucks from if he had one, I'll take the measurements with me tomorrow and see if he does, I bought a 72 1 ton from him but the rear end was parted already. He said he was pretty sure he had one, I have no idea what he'll want for it or what its worth. Randy

Teeitup, No rush at the moment. It looks like I might have 1 and a spare in the works. Still not in hand so they aren't "for sure".

I Got 2 of each pulled! That was a pain in the AZZ! The rearend I pulled this stuff from has been out of the truck for years! I almost died today getting one of the drums off in the 90+ degree Heat! I'm not used to working that hard. Its a good thing I like Kevin! One of the hubs didn't want to come off and the other was a breeze!
