Just a passing thought- I saw a mid- 60's truck one time that I thought was a Ford. Turned out to be a Mercury. I have been told they were made and sold in Canada. Have you seen these there?Wished many times I had tried to buy that one, only one I ever heard of. TIA.

I have seen a few while hunting for my truck, but was never really looking for them. I'm sure there are lots in the local and small town wrecking yards. If they're rare you have a better chance at finding them in the small town wreckers, no one ever goes there. I found some old rare cars further north of Winnipeg and passed the word out about them. Now they're gone! Better someone restores them than be crushed.

Yeah, you can usually find quite a few old Mercs runnin around. There are 4 or 5 of them around our city, and I know there are a few 60's Merc in the yard here because I used to work there. One of the guys at work is restoring a 49 Merc pickup short step with the original flathed 8!!
