Hey all, Today, we were heading out for lunch when we saw this small moving out of state garage sale. Well we stopped and looked around and I came cross this too box which had number of hand and air tools in it. Anyway, I brought it home for 80$. These are the air tool. I have 22 gallon air compressor but I just used it for small projects around the house. Now I need you help. Did I waste my money? regardless of the answer, for the rachets how do you use them? I don't want to brake any bolts!. Also what is the proper maintenance for these? The only lady who was selling them, believed that all we in working condition up to few months ago. I see, it is written on the body of some of them that they need to be oiled. Some have a place for it but in some I could'nt find anything. Sorry if these questions are too basic for some of you. and thanks ahead.

You got a bargain, the only maintenance required is to drip a couple drops of air tool oil down the nipple that the air hose connects to before each use.

i got the big impact air ratchet in the middle. it's difficult to get a socket on and off sometimes.

(Insert shady used car dealer-like voice here) But tell you what i'll do for you, since I like you and you seem like a good guy and all, I'll give you (painfully intentional pause) I don't know, say $100 for the whole bunch. Only cause you're a good guy and I hate seeing good guys get the shaft.

that 1/4 inch IR ratchet is probably worth the $80 alone used close to 200 for new, and its handy as hell.
the 1/2 inch blue point is snap on, try to buy a new one for less than $200
every thing else is nice also

Geeze! You got a smoking deal on those! As Randy said, just put a couple drops of iol in the air inlet, hit the throttle a couple times in each direction, and your set! Just go down to Sears for a bottle of the air tool oil.

I have a CP 1/2'' gun like the one in the center. Haven't had a bit trouble in almost twenty years. I think I paid about $70 for it back then.

You MUST oil them every time. Dont forget. If you are lazy like me you can put one of those "auto-oil" things inline on your air hose.

Nice score !! If I had them I would use the best and sell the rest , and make money .
Practise using them to get the hang of 'em so you don't break anything , and start out with lower pressure at first . Keep water out of your air lines ! Some of them may have an adjustment for torque , use only what you need to get things loose .

The small one on the left looks like a hand impact , useful for small bolts and screws that are frozen . Twist it the way you want to go and smack it with a hammer !

Use that one for large phillips screws. The ones that come to mind are the tailgate handle screws and the bench seat screws.

I don;t have any "nice" air tools like that. My best one is a CP 3/8" impact, its torque rating was based at 90psi at I think 4cfm.
