Dwell setting???
What's the best way to set the dwell in the points when you don't have a dwell meter? Can you adjust it while its running and listen for anything? Thanks for any help.

Years ago, and I mean many years ago, I used to adjust the point gap with a piece of matchbook cover. That was before I was able to buy a dwell meter. That always worked for me.

with the cap off bump the motor over to get it so the points ramp is on the highest point ov the dizzy cam and use a feeler gauge to set the points at .019" if they're new p[oints or .016"gap if the points are used

Don't forget to reset your timing after setting the dwell since it affects the timing. I know you probably already know this but just thought I would mention it.
