Cool Anyone noticed the price of trucks?

Does it seem like the price of used trucks has tanked? I have been looking for another 73-87 truck and I have seen a number of decent SWB 2wd trucks where the bidding dies at $3000 or less on Ebay. That was for decent driveable projects.

I might have a running 3/4t with a good cab and clip for under $1000. Thats for a rustfree truck I can drive away. Guess it's a good time to be buying an old truck.

It's because any idiot with a job now can pretty much buy a new truck and make payments for the rest of their life. I just got my straight, rust free, big block '79 for $550...

it's the exact opposite up north here in truck country....... i was lookin through the trader today and couldn't believe the high prices ( although i was looking at 88-94's) a '92 regular cab 2WD chevy will run you around 5500 and thats with around 250k km's. if your looking for a ext cab 4WD you gonna look at about 7000 to 9000

Yea the cheaper prices killed me when they evaluated my truck for an accident. They totaled it $1600 in damage because they had a list of truck replacments for mine from $800-$2400 of course they were all out of state.

Uhh you sure you want to buy your truck back Sir, its $300 if you do.

Around here on the dealers lots I have seen the last couple short wheel base Trucks go high. One (an '87 Silverado) sold in three days for $7,500 and an '85 SWB Silverado went for $8,500. This is why I would not buy one from a dealer. These sell fast on the dealer lots at these prices for some reason.

right now it is buyers market and unless someone is specifically looking for your truck type then it will take forever to sell unless its for $500. I have had my 76 for $1500 for several months now and the only really serious person said "that truck is only worth $700, thats what i'll give you for it"... told him off... straight body, slight oxidation, very small rust spots, starts and runs good... oh well sometimes you just let it sit until it sells (which drives the wife nuts)
