Hey gregfull, I browsed about your burb link and all I can say is WOW. I think you may have more in the 502/700 combo than I payed for the 70 burb. I love everything you have done so far.

Welcome to the board--nice Burbs. I'm curious about the folding rear seat setup and how the brackets that hold the upper part are attached. If you get a chance, could you post some close-up pics of the brackets and some pics of the floor underneath the seat with the lower part folded forward? Thanks in advance.

Here are the pictures of the rear fold down seat. It has a piano hinge along the foor edge. I am actually considering going with four buckets and a third row bench in the future.

Thanks for the pics Aaron. I am seriously thinking of doing this to mine. The original seats are a PITA to take in & out and carrying anything long is a hassle with them. This would make it easy. Does it feel like you are sitting on the floor without a riser on the bottom of the seat?

That second seat is fantastic. Is that out of a '70s burb? Could you provide the vehicle source, please.

I'd also like to know if the bottom brackets were bolted to factory captive nuts or were the holes in the brackets used as templates to drill holes thru the floor for bolts and nuts? I'm interested in whether the seat brackets use the factory's reinforced metal for strength purposes? Excepting the piano hinge, of course.

On the top seatback catches, do those simply have holes drilled thru the inner sheet metal with bolts and nuts used?

What a convenient looking setup. Must make it a whole 'nuther truck that can take a 4'x8' sheet of plywood with the seat folded down. Thanks for the pics and

I am not sure what exact year the seat came from as I bought the burb this way. I suspect mid to late 70's. The seat is at normal height and works well. The floor brackets required new holes in the floor board and large plate washers were used below. On the outer brackes a 1/4" or so shim was used between the floor and the bracket. The upper latches were bolted to the inside sheet metal.

I guess my 90 will be sacrificing more than drivetrain for the 72.
I, also just picked up some newer Tahoe seats (powered)and console for the front.

BTW, the 'burb looks great.
