tail gate
Any ideas on how to keep my tail gate from making so much noise when im driving it? It seems to be pretty tight.

Are the rubber bumpers still present and accounted for? You could also get some thich rubber sheet and cut some small squares and glue them on over the contact areas.

Like mentioned above check all the rubber stops. Also you can take the rods out of the inside since they like to jiggle around and make noise and put some of the apropriate size vacuum/fuel line over the rods in a few choice spots.

re:tailgate
Not sure what year your truck is, but I have found that sometimes the metal hinges which hold your tailgate when it's open have a tendency to bang around when the tailgate is closed. I put a little weatherstripping in the channel where they hang while they are closed and it helped a lot.
