67 Transmission?
I recently picked up a 67 shorbed with the 292 inline 6 but for the life of me I cant ID the tranny its a 3 speed manual I believe but it dosnt match the profile pics Ive seen of the muncie, saginaw, or borg warner. It has only 4 bolts holding the side cover on. If anyone out there can tell me what this is I would appreciate it greatly.
Thanks Tim |

Is it low gear non-syncronized ? If so you have an early model 3 speed, pretty weak, I broke several back in the day. On the other hand, if that tranny has survived this long, you should be OK.

I think all of the '67 trannies were synchro'ed. I swear someone on here told me they didn't make non-synchroed trannies until '69. Someone replaced the synchroed 3spd saginaw tranny in mine with a '69 non-synchroed tranny.
