I looked in the truck(what was left of it) and I didn't see anything unusual so I don't know. I did grab the glove box door for a souveneir

In the '70s, " inflation fighter" was a term that would have been used to indicate a package that was designed to save you money. It was most likely a combination of options that was priced lower than the individual options, or maybe a low optioned truck that was sold at a special low price.

It had a 250 I-6 in it(or what was left of it!). Truck was very rough and just about completely stripped of anything usable(although I did get the wiper cowl off of it, had no antenna hole and was straight & rust free!!!)

It probably included one of these buttons too as part of the protect-o-plate and warrenty package, which could be proudly displayed as a hood ornament or simply pinned to the visor. (Let's see who actually gets this reference )

How about air bag spring boosters? My '67 had some air shock boosters and the overload springs. I never did check the glove box door to see if they were listed there.

Maybe it was a term used for the 250 six, three speed combo. But it wasn't too stripped down though! Hard to believe they were thinking of gas milege back in those days!! Hey Joe if it didn't have antena hole than it must have had a radio delete. Was there a heater in it? Or was this one of those trucks with a heater delete.
