68 Cst 396/400
i have a 68 CST and i am looking to see if it is a specialty truck or just some run of the mill 68 that had a different package.

The 396 makes it unique in the fact that it wasn't a "standard" engine option in '68. You had to special-order it (or the dealer ordered it).
The best way to find out more about it is to post a pic of the glove box option sheet or a build-sheet if you have one...the guys on this board know all (well most) of the option codes and can tell you a lot about your truck.

CST was the top of the line trim package in 68. Only around 4 percent of the trucks that could be provided with it were. CST's are fairly rare in the 67's and 68's.
Have any pictures?? Let's check it out! Sounds like a cool truck.
