I was thinking about this.I`ve seen very few Cheyenne/30s and of course,even less Supers.Most 71/72 1tons I`ve seen have been Custom/30s.I may have seen a CustomDeluxe,but sure don`t recall for sure.I just think it`s one of those things where you either get a basic unit to do the job,like a tool.Or,if you wanted it to be nicer,you went all the way.Just trying to make trivia here.

I have a 1971 1 ton dually and it is a Custom deluxe with the CustomCamper option on it. The front fenders say "CustomCamper/30"

Kinda reads like a sliding rear window, although it has a 1 piece in it right now.

That is a sweet`71`alright.I had a`70 CustomCamper/30 like that.It said cust comf & conv.The P.O.had removed the camper(Winnebago).I put a low-pro service body(Reading)on it.It had plaid inserts in the seat that Winnebago put in.Gold to match the paint.I`ve never seen,I don`t think,CustomDeluxe/30 fender badges before.Unless,maybe,on a Longhorn.But,not a cab`n`chassis.I had a`71CustomCamper/20 that listed custom sport truck equipt.and it was a Cheyenne,no emblems.It had the seat,headliner,carpet,and exterior woodgrain.What came in that `71 CustomCamper/30?

I double checked the 72 order info and you could get the 30 series in Custom Deluxe code Z62, Cheyenne 30 code Z84 and the CHeyenne SUper 30 code YE9. Just as Joes is most were ordered with the Custom Camper spring and stabilizer option code Z81 and the nameplate then reflected Custom Camper 30.
I still have a cab and front off a 72 longhorn C20 and the fender nameplate said Custom 20 with the "Deluxe" nameplate mounted directly below the Custom. ANd on the doors above the handles is "Custom Camper". It has original paint and I bought that truck back around 1984.
