Progress on Wootdogs tailgate.......
Kerry stopped by today with his brother, we did a test fit with his tailgate, this is the one that I built the liscense plate recess box for. His truck is a work of art!

Nice work. It is looking sharp so far. Waiting also to see how you folks do the latching and strap ideas.

Those are welded solid! This entire truck has been shaved of just about everything that gets in the way of it being smooth. (note the gas filler lid in the rear fender of the second shot)

Randy, I PM'd WootDog about his tailgate but never received a reply. Could you find out who manufactured it?
Looks good BTW!

That's got to be the nicest step side I've ever seen. Great work on the tailgate too.

I think he's out on business right now but he'll check the board regularly, you'll most likely here from him before me but I'll ask anyhow. It's a heavy guage steel though!

My wife told me to tell you to put a coaster under that beer before it leaves a ring.
She does that to me all the time

Is there any plan to finish off the inside so the box is not exposed? Joe

That is a beautiful truck, love the craftmanship and attention to detail...good job!!!
With the rear bumper and recessed plate, the rear of the truck is looking awefully close to a late 70's/early 80's Malibu wagon or El Camino. Will the recessed box have a light in it to illuminate the plate at night? If so, how ya going to wire it?

Jwill41,try a flush skin(smooth),then french the tag mount. You can run the wire between the two layers. No pics of it,but I put the tag in the lower area of the gate.Nice truck.
